Chamber Filter Press
Cost-Effective Solid-Liquid Separation for Wastewater, Mining, Chemical, and Industrial Slurry
- Filter Area Customized to Your Capacity
- Manual or Automatic Plate Pulling
- PP Recessed Plates for Stable Pressure Filtration
What Is A Chamber Filter Press?
A pressure filtration system designed to separate solids from liquids through recessed filter chambers
Pressure Filtration with Recessed Filter Chambers
A chamber filter press uses recessed polypropylene filter plates covered with filter cloth. When the plates are pressed together, the recessed surfaces form sealed chambers for slurry filtration.
The feed pump sends slurry into these chambers under pressure. Liquid passes through the filter cloth and drainage channels, while solids remain inside and gradually form filter cakes.
- The structure is uniform, with all filter chambers composed of chamber filter plates.
- The sealing performance is better than that of plate and frame filter presses.
- The equipment is stable and suitable for most industries.
How Does a Chamber Filter Press Work?
The chamber filter press completes solid-liquid separation through slurry feeding, pressure filtration, and cake discharge
Slurry Feeding
The feed pump sends slurry into the closed chambers through the central feed channel.
Pressure Filtration
Liquid passes through the filter cloth while solids remain inside and gradually form filter cakes.
Cake Discharge
The plates open manually or automatically, allowing the formed filter cakes to fall from the chambers.

Filter Press FAQ
The suitable model depends on your slurry type, processing capacity, solid concentration, particle size, required cake moisture, and daily working hours. Based on this information, we can recommend the appropriate filter plate size, filter area, chamber volume, and feeding pump.
A membrane filter press incorporates a secondary pressing stage following the standard filtration process. Its membrane filter plates expand using compressed air or water pressure to further squeeze the filter cake; compared to a standard chamber filter press, this method helps reduce the moisture content of the filter cake.
A chamber filter press uses recessed filter plates. When two plates are pressed together, their recessed surfaces form a filtration chamber. A plate and frame filter press uses alternating plates and separate frames. Chamber filter presses generally provide better sealing, a simpler plate arrangement, and more stable operation for common industrial slurry treatment.
Under stable feeding pressure, filtration is usually considered close to completion when the filtrate flow becomes very small or nearly stops. The actual endpoint should also be determined according to the material, filtration pressure, filtration time, and required cake condition.
Yes. Filter plate size, filter area, cake thickness, filtration pressure, frame material, feeding position, and control system can be customized. Optional equipment includes automatic plate shifter, drip trays, conveyors, platforms, filter cloth washing systems, and feeding pumps.
