30-Square-Meter Diaphragm Filter Press Shipped to France
Recently, a 30㎡ food-grade stainless steel diaphragm filter press, custom-designed by our company for a French client, has completed commissioning and been successfully shipped. It will soon be put into operation in a local production line for juicing and solid-liquid separation of yacón root pulp.
This equipment has been specifically optimized for the characteristics of crushed yacón roots, ensuring processing efficiency and juice quality, and meeting the client’s high standards for juice yield and filter cake dryness.
Project Background and Processing Objectives
The client’s raw material is a pulp derived from crushed yacón root, with a moisture content as high as 85%. The average feed rate is approximately 1500 kilograms per hour. The client expects to achieve the following processing results through intermittent pressure filtration, with each cycle lasting approximately one hour:
- Juice production capacity: approximately 1200 liters/hour, juice sugar content approximately 10°Brix
- Filter cake production capacity: approximately 300 kg/hour, target moisture content of 50%
- Process mode: Intermittent solid-liquid separation; the equipment needs to be adapted to the high fiber content of fruit pomace.
Based on the above requirements, our technical team recommended and customized a 30㎡ automatic diaphragm filter press system, equipped with high-temperature-resistant filter plates and food-grade flow channels, to ensure juice quality and stable equipment operation.
Equipment Highlights
Food-grade materials, compliant with EU standards
All parts of the machine that come into contact with materials are made of 304 food-grade stainless steel, and the filter plates are made of high-temperature resistant polypropylene (with a special formula added), possessing excellent acid and alkali resistance and heat resistance, and complying with European food processing hygiene standards.
High-efficiency diaphragm pressing improves filter cake dryness
Equipped with a pneumatic diaphragm system, the filter cake is subjected to secondary pressing after the main filtration stage, reducing its moisture content to approximately 50%, significantly improving filtration efficiency and minimizing wasted residual juice.
The filter chamber structure is specifically designed for fruit and vegetable purees
The filter chamber volume and feed pressure parameters are optimized for high-water content, high-fiber fruit puree materials, ensuring smooth feeding, high liquid penetration efficiency, and uniform filter cake formation.
Strict Quality Control Ensures Smooth Delivery
To ensure that the equipment meets the application requirements of our French customer in the food industry, we conducted multiple rounds of debugging and testing before shipment, including overall pressure testing, filter plate sealing testing, and electrical control system function testing, to ensure that every indicator meets export standards.
Conclusion
This 30㎡ membrane filter press project shipped to France not only demonstrates our company’s extensive technical expertise in solid-liquid separation equipment for fruits and vegetables but also signifies our continued expansion in the international food processing market. In the future, we will continue to focus on the processing needs of different material characteristics, providing global customers with more precise and efficient solid-liquid separation solutions.
